MTDF FEATURING TROY SIMMS AND STACY DILLARD @ PROSPECT POND
We were playing our 1st gig, at what for a couple of months was our favorite spot to play at in Brooklyn NY. "The Pond".
During a break, the hostess, the beautiful Nucomme said to us: "My friend and great saxophone player is in the house! You should meet him and have him sit in! His name is Stacy, Stacy Dillard..."
Of course we trusted her, and agreed to do what she suggested.
On the corner of the bar, was sitting a sweet guy named Troy Simms... He's a member of Mobius Collective, great afro/dub band who used to host sessions at Rose Live Music, another great spot, in Brooklyn every thursday. He had booked us a show there before, and we had invited him to come check us out that night at the Pond. He had brought his sax too...
We opened our second set. We called Troy and Stacy up on stage. This is what happened...
